NEW YORK –  Shoppe Object is preparing to make its return to New York’s Pier 36 and Skylight at Essex Crossing this summer, Aug. 4-6.

The home and gift trade show expanded its footprint in New York earlier this year with the addition of a new space at Essex Crossing and will build on the success of last February’s edition, which brought a record turnout of 20 percent more exhibitors attending than the previous year and 700 total curated brands. This August, Shoppe Object is expecting even larger attendance totals as it nears its anticipated sold-out status, with even more brands on display.

Known for its “bold architecture,” per a release, and its close proximity to Shoppe Object’s longstanding venue at Pier 36, Skylight at Essex Crossing will once again provide a “complimentary showcase” for buyers to explore a “vibrant and engaging atmosphere strategically created to highlight the very best brands and products in the categories of home, gift, accessories, lifestyle and more.” Attendees will be able to go between Pier 36 and Skylight at Essex Crossing using the show’s complimentary shuttle services.

“The addition of Skylight at Essex Crossing has allowed us to feature a greater pool of curated brands, delivering more discovery and creative innovation within our multiple vibrant spaces,” said Jesse James, founder and show director of Shoppe Object. “We’re excited to reunite with our growing community of designers, buyers and brands in this beautifully sunlit space, as well as at our waterside home at Pier 36, this summer.”

This expansion not only enhances the atmosphere with hand-selected playlists, diversified dining experiences and late-night gatherings but, according to a release, also “symbolizes the growth of the show” and Shoppe Object’s “strategic evolution in how the show connects the vibrant local scene with global artisanal talents.”

“We know how much our discerning buyers love finding new gems, so we made certain to allocate space for exhibitors that are brand new to market and/or exclusive to Shoppe Object,” said Renata Bokalo, Shoppe Object’s director of sales. “In addition to Shoppe Object’s Global Artisan Program, we are really excited to debut several international artisan pavilions from all corners of the world including South Africa, Chile and Indonesia. An important strategic objective in our collective curation process was supporting indigenous communities and women-led organizations.”

New and international brands set to show this summer include Match, Greentree Home and Candle, Simon & Schuster, Epice Paris, Matt & Nat, Meri Meri, Soap + Paper Factory and Lubin Paris. International and domestic brands returning from the spring 2024 edition of Shoppe Object include Assouline, Chilewich, Hangai Mountain Textiles, Heller, Printworks, Saved New York, Serax, Sir/Madam and many others. In addition, a number of new brands are set to join the show this August from around the world.
