For those unfamiliar, Star Tours is a motion simulator attraction that takes fans to a galaxy far, far away and puts them face-to-face with such beloved characters as R2-D2, C-3PO, Princess Leia, Kylo Ren, and others as they take an adventure to locations from all throughout Star Wars. Following The Last Jedi, the planet Crait was added as a location to the ride.
Watch the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and see Kef Bir for yourself!
As for Kef Bir, we don't know much more about this moon, but it has been heavily featured in The Rise of Skywalker's trailers. We do know, however, that the Death Star II was near Endor, so its resting place is most likely near there.Considering the lack of information and the release date coinciding with the film, its safe to say some pretty important stuff happens on Kef Bir, and we already know that Rey and Kylo Ren will, at some point, stand in the very same Emperor's Throne Room that Luke and Darth Vader once did in Return of the Jedi.
Kef Bir also appears in the recently released Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition, and is the homeworld of Jannah, who is a new character that will be played by Naomi Ackie.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the return, in some form, of Emperor Palpatine, will be released in theaters on December 20, 2019.For more, be sure to check out our breakdown of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's final trailer, read on how Emperor Palpatine's Throne looks just like unused concept art from Return of the Jedi, and learn why it's possible that Rey may be holding the Dagger of Mortis in that final trailer.
Fun Fact: The old pilot of Star Tours, Captain "Rex" RX-24, is now the DJ at Oga's Cantina at Galaxy's Edge! Have a tip for us? Want to discuss a possible story? Please send an email to newstips@ign.com.
