Football Crazy

Football Crazy was the only episode that might have reminded people of the BBC type silliness. There are celebrities such as Wayne Sleep, Fred Dinenage fighting his receding hairline and Kenneth Wolstenholme who presumably told Fred that it's all over. His hairline!

There is even a spoof commercial featuring Graeme Garden as Lawrie McMenemy. The then Southampton manager used to advertise a non alcoholic beer.

Riffing on the football hooligan problems of the era. Bill is the hooligan who has frightened all the true football fans away with his offensive remarks and violence.

Tim has decided to put a stop to it as the no nonsense policeman. He has even stopped the players celebrating and kissing each other after a goal.

So everyone latches on to a new pastime to support. It turns out to be ballet which has now got its own set of rowdy supporters.

The ballet bit goes on for too long but Bill as the hooligan was the stand out from the sole ITV series.
