Colossus is a dungeon from Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen. It appears as a board in Itadaki Street DS and Fortune Street.

History[edit]

Itadaki Street DS[edit]

In Itadaki Street DS, the board is designed to resemble the Colossus itself with the rectangular section representing the body, the two triangular sections connected to the rectangular section representing the hands, and the separated section at the bottom representing the feet. Occasionally, a party consisting of the Hero from Dragon Quest IV, Ragnar, Meena, and Torneko fall from the statue's left eye to its left hand. In Tour mode, the player has to place second or higher against Platypunk, Alena, and Kiryl. Beating the board allows the board to be used in Free Play mode, unlocks Platypunk as a possible opponent, and gives the player the Toughie mask and outfit cosmetics.

Fortune Street[edit]

Colossus reappears as a playable board in Fortune Street. In easy rules the board is made up of four ovals, the center ones are together, whilst the other two are apart from the main board. In standard rules the layout is similar. The center two ovals are longer and have an additional path that connects them. To get to the two outer ovals, a player needs to either land on a switch square which swaps the districts closest to the outer ovals with the curved districts of the outer ovals or land on a backstreet square. To unlock this board in Tour mode, the player needs to beat the Good Egg Galaxy board in first place. Once unlocked, the player needs to get first against Alena, Kiryl and Princess Peach. Beating the board allows it to be used in Free Play mode.
