General information

The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus were established on June 12, 1993.

The embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Minsk was opened in 1993.

The embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Yerevan was opened in 2001.

In September 2021 Razmik Khumaryan has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Belarus.

In December 2020 Alexander Konyuk has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia.

On October 8, 2021 Consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers were held in Minsk between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Belarus.

Legal framework

Relations between Armenia and Belarus are regulated by 32 interstate and intergovernmental, as well as 21 interdepartmental agreements, including the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Armenia and Belarus, signed on May 26, 2001.

In total, about 90 documents were signed between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Belarus.

Cultural sphere

On September 10, 2022 a solemn ground blessing ceremony of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Minsk took place.

Trade and economic relations

November 26, 2021 the 15th Session of the Intergovernmental Armenian-Belarusian Commission on trade and economic cooperation took place in Minsk.

On September 30, 2022 the 16th Session of the Intergovernmental Armenian-Belarusian Commission on trade and economic cooperation was held in Yerevan.
