Ant McPartlin's ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong, has shared a cryptic Instagram post after the Britain's Got Talent star welcomed his first child.

The Geordie TV presenter, 48, and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 46, who tied the knot in 2021, announced their joyful baby news on Instagram on Tuesday. Anne-Marie gave birth to a little baby boy.

Sharing a sweet black and white photo of Ant holding their newborn son, the proud parents also announced their baby's name in the caption of the adorable post as they wrote: "Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess."

As the tributes to continue to roll in from Ant's celebrity friends, his ex-wife Lisa, 47, has shared a post about a "battle" to her Instagram stories. The quote read: "Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you've fought, the moments you've had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength."

Ant and Lisa called time on their relationship after two decades together six years ago. Their divorce, after 11 years of marriage, came not long after Lisa stood by Ant when his career was almost ruined following an alcohol and prescription addiction and drink-driving conviction in 2018.

Although the former couple have had some difficult times, Lisa is reportedly looking for a fresh start. A source recently told OK! Magazine that Lisa has done "a lot of healing over the past few years" and wants to make sure she is in a "good place". The source told the publication: "Lisa knows Ant is ready to move on with the next chapter of his life - she doesn’t want to be angry anymore.

"She’s done a lot of healing over the past few years and spent so much time being upset and angry about everything. It has been exhausting but she has done a lot of work on herself. It seems everyone is having a fresh start with the end of the show and Ant’s new chapter in his life, so Lisa wants to make sure she’s in a good place."

Lisa and Ant may be moving on from their bitter split as she recently showed him some support ahead of his and Declan Donnelly's final Saturday Night Takeaway show. Lisa liked a post that named Ant and Dec as "simply the best" when talking about their showbiz careers.

Lisa liked on the post which showed Ant and Dec and said: "After 20 years this amazing show is coming to an end it's been a real joy and pleasure to have been there from the beginning, and in my 30-year career in showbiz I've worked with some brilliant people but these two are simply the best! Great friendships and memories made."

The source hints that the like may be a signal that Lisa is willing to show her support once again. They said: "Lisa feels she played an important part in their success - she was there from the very start when Ant and Dec first had the idea. Seeing the show come to an end brought back lots of happy memories. It also made her realise that she and Ant were really happy and she now doesn’t want her marriage to him tarnished. Lisa loved him so much and now she just wants everyone to be happy, Ant included."

TV presenter Ant and Lisa were married for 11 years, tying the knot in a 2006 church ceremony where, naturally, Declan Donnelly stepped up as Ant's best man. By 2018 however, their marriage came to an end, with makeup artist Lisa filing for divorce as Ant had become 'intolerable to live with', according to court documents.

In February 2009, while denying rumours that make-up artist Lisa was pregnant, Ant shared that they were hoping to start a family. Ant, now 48, said at the time: "We'll have been married three years this summer – of course we want children. We definitely want to start a family soon – it will naturally happen."

The following year, in July 2010, Ant confirmed that they were indeed trying to get pregnant, explaining that work commitments had previously gotten in the way of their family plans. He revealed: "We've wanted children for a while, but we’re both busy. We're on a break now, the first proper one for 15 years. So Lisa and I are trying for a baby…well, we've been trying for a little while so fingers crossed."

In 2013, Ant opened up once again about their baby battle, making a heartbreaking five-word admission. Ant, who was 37 at the time, admitted: "There's a rumour that we do everything together and I'm holding off having kids till Dec finds himself Mrs Right. I love that idea, but I'm afraid it's not true. Lisa and I would love to have kids. We're trying. It's tougher than you think when you get a bit older."

Dec, 48, went on to marry talent manager Astall two years later in 2015. The couple have since welcomed two children together, Isla, born 2018, and Jack, born 2022. Following his divorce, Ant moved on with his and Lisa's former PA, Anne-Marie Corbett, whom he married in 2021.

Lisa found love in 2020, two years after her split with Ant, when she got into a relationship with her boyfriend James Green. However, the pair split last year, just weeks after they enjoyed a romantic getaway together in the Caribbean.
