The Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Commission (PACC) is a new commission formed under the Presidency of Thomas Bach. As of 2022 the chair of the PACC Commission is Luis Alberto Moreno. The responsibilities of the PACC Commission are to:
- Advise on strategies for the protection and promotion of the autonomy and neutrality of sport, the Olympic Solidarity model of sport and the Olympic Games model;
- Recommend strategies to advocate for the promotion of universal, safe and inclusive access to sport and physical activity, and for mainstreaming it as an important enabler to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals by influencing both government policies and international development policies;
- Advise on strategies for engagement with other key stakeholders and partners in sport for development, such as major organizations and agencies, financial institutions, the private sector (foundations, TOP Partners, etc.), pressure groups (Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, etc.), and digital and media outlets;
- Advise on global communications around the importance of safe and inclusive access to sport and its contribution to social change and peace, leveraging innovative communications approaches to engage people around the world, in particular young people and athletes, in the mission and values of the Olympic Movement, all year round; and
- Advise on how to further educate the Olympic Movement (NOCs, IFs, OCOGs and athletes) on the benefits of sport for development and peace and help build their capacity to advocate for and communicate around it.
