Zenodōrus
(
Ζηνόδωρος). A Greek statuary, whose native country is
uncertain. He practised his art in Cisalpine Gaul, and also in Rome during the reign of Nero.
Pliny speaks of a Mercury of his, and also of a colossal statue of Nero 110 feet high,
afterwards dedicated to the Sun on the downfall of that emperor. See
