Wrecking - Birthing

Wrecking - Birthing

Ravaging COVID-19
the world is praying, to God almighty,
that stemming viral transmission
from infecting and furious killing

Gaia suffering silently but hoping
Her abused body needs recovering
From man’s reckless devastating
That lockdown fulfilling and resting

A welcome and gracious gesture
Human and nature experience nurture
From the same hands’ gesture
Of human and nature

COVID-19 may appear destroying
Properties, relationships and living
But precious pause and rest hungering
Bring us back to marvelous recreating

Alas, let’s be calm, at peace, aspiring
We allow slow process of birthing
That this “new normal” is offering
A new world, new relationship emerging.
