Raw Story expects all employees to engage in ethical behavior and has guidelines for outside activities and political involvement.
Under Raw Story’s agreement with the Baltimore-Washington NewsGuild, editorial employees are not allowed to donate to political campaigns or political action committees. Outside of working hours and without the use of any equipment or resources of Raw Story, they may attend political events, provided they are not financial contributors, speakers or official representatives.
Editorial employees are free to engage in activities outside of normal working hours provided that such outside activity is not a conflict of interest for the employee or Raw Story and the employee has discussed any outside editorial employment or freelance work with Raw Story.
Please note this policy may be changed at any time without notice at Raw Story’s discretion, except as dictated by Raw Story’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
