Phillip Maciak The New Republic Robert and Michelle King’s show fits an enormous story about the fallibility of humankind inside a network procedural. Aug 3, 2024 Full Review Kristen Baldwin Entertainment Weekly As always, Robert and Michelle King's ingenious and triumphantly weird series blends relatable interpersonal drama with clever philosophical quandaries and equal-opportunity satire. Jun 4, 2024 Full Review Kristy Puchko Mashable Whether a defiant levity, an uncharacteristic fury, or an absorbing obsession, these attitudes brew a tension as they push their players to a breaking point. May 29, 2024 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene I’d like to hang out with series creators Michelle and Robert King. I mean, people who can effortlessly mix demonic possession and insouciant humor are bound to be fine dinner companions. Oct 5, 2024 Full Review Joshua Rivera The Ringer The unlikely cult hit blended procedural casework, casually profound philosophical debate, off-kilter humor, and B-movie horror. It will be remembered as one of the great series of its era. Aug 31, 2024 Full Review Lindsay Traves Pajiba Its finale didn’t tie anything up into a bow, but it did what Evil grew to do best: gave us a campy last shot and told us that the real evil is subscription services. KerryWhite's S 9/10. 91/100. | Someone needs to pick this show up! It’s so good, does good, and could very well go for another 1-4 seasons. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/01/24 Full Review Jeff H I was lauding this show for the first few seasons, and I must say it's difficult to know where the story would have gone had EVIL not been prematurely canceled. All I can do is comment on what we got--a tacked-on ending. It infuriated me, in fact. What about the daughter who grew a tail? That idea came and went. And what about the husband? Kristen was a married woman, flirting with a priest throughout this show. I was offended by what happened to Andy. He asked for none of the abominations that Kristen brought into their family; yet, he was perceived as a bad guy in the end, while she got to play footsies with the priest. /// I think EVIL very good for many reasons, such as its perfect blend of horror and humor, and Sister Andrea is one of my favorite characters EVER to grace the screen (give her her own show, please). Ben also deserves more screen time. But ultimately the series fizzles out and crashes HARD. I can't recommend that you start watching it, because the payoff is highly disappointing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/24 Full Review Hassie B If you want nothing but lose ends and the most anticlimactic ending for an antagonist then this is for sure the series for you. Can’t believe I wasted my time thinking they’re “tie it all in together” Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/12/24 Full Review Jon L Unfathomably sad to see such a high quality superb show get cancelled. Whoever made that call seriously needs a special visit by Leland Townsend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Andrei D One of the best series knows how to end one of the best seasons but a little extra ambiguity would have been nice Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Katelynn S Incredible show and such great complex characters uniquely complimenting each other. Deeply saddened they are getting cancelled. They explores fascinating themes from deeper tones on religion vs science and the mutual respect and understanding sprouted between friendships with differing beliefs. Also season 4 perfected horror elements and brought the characters story arches to harmonics mediums. Really hope this show gets picked up!
