This young Jazz team is going to get their first test right from the jump facing teams with championship aspirations. The beginning of the season includes the top 15 players in the league facing the likes of Morant, Curry, Doncic and Fox early on.
The Jazz will then have a 4-game road trip starting in Denver on November 2nd through the 9th ending in San Antonio. Then immediately going into the NBA Cup where Utah is in a group with the Suns, Lakers, Thunder, and Spurs.
Like always, an 82-game regular season is a lot especially when a team is rebuilding but that’s exactly what this young Jazz roster needs. They need time to learn and grow, make mistakes, and develop.
How competitive is Utah going to be this season?
The past few seasons the Jazz have started off consistent and have looked like a play-in team early on. Until around the 20-25 game mark is when we see them take their foot off the gas. Is it worth to win these 5 more games rather than having a higher pick in the draft mindset? I’ll be extremely curious how Utah plays the first couple of months and if they pick a direction earlier on. However, with the recent signing of Patty Mills, Coach Hardy has made it very clear that this team wants to win.
What games are you guys looking forward to most this season? And what are your thoughts on the schedule?
