2015 was marked by court saga Van der Garde vs. Sauber

Giedo became the major Sauber's problem

After a few months of court complications, culminating ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in March 2015, it was confirmed on March 18 that Giedo van der Garde and Sauber had reached a settlement. He relinquished his rights to race with Sauber F1 team for the compensation in the amount of USD$16 million.
