Academic Writing Service

The Academic Writing Service provides English-language support for writing and study skills. We give talks and seminars and offer individual guidance. Our services are available free of charge to all students at Stockholm University.

Library

Stockholm University Library is an important resource for students. Here you can borrow and order course literature. The library also gives you access to scientific literature, journals and databases, in printed as well as digital format.

Studying with a disability

Stockholm University offers different kinds of disability study support to students with long-term disabilities. The aim is to give all students the opportunity to study on equal terms.

Term dates

The academic year at Stockholm University starts in late August and ends in early June. The academic year is divided into two semesters, an autumn semester and a spring semester.

Examination services

Information applies for written seated exams taking place in the centrally-administered examination halls at Stockholm University. A written exam is one kind of several different kinds of examinations. You write the exam in a writing room (on paper or on a computer) as part of your course. If you do not pass your exam, it is possible to retake it – it is then called a re-examination.
