     Francis Norris, 1st and last Earl of Berkshire was born on 6 July 1579.2 He was the son of William Norris and Elizabeth Morrison.3,2 He married Lady Bridget de Vere, daughter of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford and Anne Cecil, circa 28 April 1599.2 He died on 29 January 1621/22 at age 42, without male issue.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Norris [E., 1572] on 17 October 1601.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in January 1604/5.2 He was created 1st Viscount Thame [England] on 28 January 1620/21.4 He was created 1st Earl of Berkshire [England] on 28 January 1620/21.4
     On his death, the Earldom of Berkshire and Viscountancy of Thame became extinct.4

     Lady Susan de Vere was born on 26 May 1587 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford and Anne Cecil.1,3 She married Philip Herbert, 4th Earl of Pembroke, son of Henry Herbert, 2nd Earl of Pembroke and Mary Sydney, on 27 December 1604.2 She died circa 27 January 1628/29.2 She was buried on 1 February 1628/29.2
     From 27 December 1604, her married name became Herbert. After her marriage, Lady Susan de Vere was styled as Countess of Pembroke on 4 May 1605.

     Philip Herbert, 4th Earl of Pembroke was born on 16 October 1584.3 He was the son of Henry Herbert, 2nd Earl of Pembroke and Mary Sydney.4,3 He married, firstly, Lady Susan de Vere, daughter of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford and Anne Cecil, on 27 December 1604.3 He married, secondly, Anne Clifford, Baroness Clifford, daughter of George Clifford, 3rd Earl of Cumberland and Lady Margaret Russell, on 3 June 1630 at Chenies, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He died on 23 January 1649/50 at age 65.1

Hugh Augustus Crofton and Amelia Harriet Farquharson.2 She married, firstly, Colonel Edward Reginald Courtenay, son of Major George Henry Courtenay and Laura Samuda, on 2 July 1878.2 She and Colonel Edward Reginald Courtenay were divorced in 1881.2 She married, secondly, Ernest James Robinson on 22 November 1881. She and Ernest James Robinson were divorced in 1888. She married, thirdly, Captain James Montgomerie Caulfeild, son of Lt.-Col. William Montgomerie Stewart Caulfeild and Dorothea Jane French, on 6 February 1889.2 She died on 30 August 1951.1
     From 2 July 1878, her married name became Courtenay. From 22 November 1881, her married name became Robinson. From 6 February 1889, her married name became Caulfeild.
