     Thomas Manners-Sutton, 1st Baron Manners of Foston was born on 24 February 1756.² He was the son of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Diana Chaplin.² He married, firstly, Anne Copley, daughter of Sir Joseph Copley, 1st Bt. and Mary Buller, on 4 November 1803.¹ He married, secondly, Jane Butler, daughter of James Butler, 9th Baron Caher and Sarah Nichols, on 28 October 1815.² He died on 31 May 1842 at age 86.²
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.² He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1775 entitled to practise as a barrister.² He was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.² He was Commissioner of Bankrupts in 1783.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Newark between 1796 and 1805.² He held the office of Chief Justice of North Wales between 1797 and 1802.² He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) in 1800.² He was Solicitor-General to HRH Prince of Wales in 1800.² He was appointed Knight in 1802.² He was Solicitor-General to HRH Prince of Wales between 1802 and 1805.² He was Baron of the Exchequer between 1805 and 1807.² He held the office of Lord Chancellor [Ireland] between 1807 and 1827.² He was created 1st Baron Manners of Foston, co. Lincoln [U.K.] on 20 April 1807.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 1 May 1807.² He was Vice-Chancellor of Dublin University in 1826.²

     Louisa Bridget Manners-Sutton was the daughter of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Diana Chaplin.^1,2 She married Edward Lockwood-Perceval, son of Reverend Edward Lockwood and Lucy Dowdeswell, on 15 June 1790.¹ She died on 5 February 1800.¹
     Her married name became Lockwood-Perceval.

     Charlotte Manners-Sutton was the daughter of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Diana Chaplin.^2,1 She married Thomas Lockwood, son of Thomas Lockwood and Bridget Morris, on 16 June 1789.¹ She died in 1827.³
     From 16 June 1789, her married name became Lockwood.¹

     Edward Lockwood-Perceval was the son of Reverend Edward Lockwood and Lucy Dowdeswell.¹ He married Louisa Bridget Manners-Sutton, daughter of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Diana Chaplin, on 15 June 1790.¹ He died on 6 July 1804.¹
     He was educated between 1773 and 1779 at Westminster School, Westminster, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1783 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from All Souls' College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1786 with a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.)¹ He lived at Bishop's Hall, Essex, England^G.

     Thomas Lockwood was the son of Thomas Lockwood and Bridget Morris.¹ He married Charlotte Manners-Sutton, daughter of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Diana Chaplin, on 16 June 1789.¹
     He lived at Dan-y-graig, Glamorgan, Wales^G.¹

     Mary Manners-Sutton was the daughter of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Mary Peart.¹ She married Reverend Richard Lockwood, son of Reverend William Lockwood and Mary Bennett, in 1799.¹ She died on 20 November 1829.²
     Her married name became Lockwood.

     Reverend Richard Lockwood was born in 1761.² He was the son of Reverend William Lockwood and Mary Bennett.² He married Mary Manners-Sutton, daughter of Lord George Manners-Sutton and Mary Peart, in 1799.¹ He died in 1830.³

     Charles Manners-Sutton, 1st Viscount Canterbury was born on 29 January 1780 at Screveton, Nottinghamshire, England^G.² He was the son of Most Rev. Charles Manners-Sutton and Mary Thoroton.¹ He married, firstly, Lucy Maria Charlotte Denison, daughter of John Denison and Maria Charlotte Horlock, on 8 July 1811 at Lambeth Palace, Lambeth, London, England^G.³ He married, secondly, Ellen Power, daughter of Edmund Power, on 6 December 1828 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England^G.³ He died on 21 July 1845 at age 65 at Southwick Crescent, Paddington, London, England^G, from apoplexy.³ He was buried at Addington, Buckinghamshire, England^G.³ His will was proven (by probate) on 16 February 1846.³

(Tory) for Scarborough between 1806 and 1832.² He held the office of Judge Advocate-General between 1809 and 1817.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 8 November 1809.² He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln's Inn in 1817.² He held the office of Speaker of the House of Commons between June 1817 and December 1834.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) by Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1824.² He was Registrar of the Court of Faculties of the Archbishop of Canterbury between 1827 and 1834.⁴ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for the University of Cambridge between 1832 and 1835.² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) on 31 August 1833.³ He was High Commissioner for treating Canadian claims in 1835.⁴ He was created 1st Baron Bottesford of Bottesford, co. Leicester [U.K.] on 10 March 1835.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Canterbury, of the City of Canterbury [U.K.] on 10 March 1835.¹

     Lt.-Col. Francis Manners-Sutton was born on 5 July 1783.¹ He was the son of Most Rev. Charles Manners-Sutton and Mary Thoroton.¹ He married Mary Oliver, daughter of Laver Oliver, on 27 July 1814.¹ He died on 5 March 1825 at age 41, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Coldstream Guards Guards.¹

     Charlotte Manners-Sutton was the daughter of Most Rev. Charles Manners-Sutton and Mary Thoroton.¹ She married Venerable James Croft, son of Reverend Robert Nicholas Croft and Elizabeth Wanley Bowes, on 5 October 1812.¹ She died on 14 February 1825.¹
     Her married name became Croft.
