     Ludwig I Landgraf von Hessen also went by the nick-name of Ludwig 'the Peaceful'.1 He succeeded as the Landgraf von Hessen in 1413.2 In 1450 he acquired the Counties of Ziegenhain and Nidda.1

He married, firstly, Anne von Wurttemberg, daughter of Eberhard IV Graf von Württemberg and Henriette von Mömpelgard, on 22 February 1422. He married, secondly, Anne von Nassau-Dillenburg, daughter of Jan IV Graf von Nassau-Dillenburg Graaf van Vianden, Heer van Breda en De-Leck and Marie von Sponheim Gravin van Loon, Vrouwe van Herstal, Stein en Millen, circa 1473. He died on 27 June 1479.

     Eberhard V (I) Herzog von Württemberg was the son of Ludwig I Graf von Württemberg.1 He married Barbara Gonzaga, daughter of Ludovico II Gonzaga, Marchese di Mantova and Barbara de Brandenburg, in 1474.2 He died in 1496.
     Eberhard V (I) Herzog von Württemberg also went by the nick-name of Eberhard 'the Bearded'.1 He succeeded as the Graf von Württemberg in 1450.1 He was created Herzog von Württemberg in 1495.1
