     Mathilde Marie Alexe Christianne de la Ferté is the daughter of Etienne Coche de la Ferté.1 She married, firstly, Sir Valentine Robert Duff Abdy, 6th Bt., son of Sir Robert Henry Edward Abdy, 5th Bt. and Lady Helen Diana Bridgeman, in 1971.1 She and Sir Valentine Robert Duff Abdy, 6th Bt. were divorced in 1982.1 She married, secondly, Edouard Etienne Alphonse de Rothschild, son of Guy Edouard Alphonse Paul de Rothschild and Marie Hélène Naila Stephanie Josina van Zuylen van Nyevelt, after 1982.1
     From 1971, her married name became Abdy.1 From after 1982, her married name became de Rothschild.1

     Sir Thomas Abdy, 1st Bt. was born circa 1612.1 He was the son of Anthony Abdy and Abigail Campbell.1 He was baptised on 18 May 1612.2 He married, firstly, Mary Corsellis, daughter of Lucas Corsellis, on 1 February 1637/38 at St. Peter le Poor, London, EnglandG.1 He married, secondly, Anne Soame, daughter of Sir Thomas Soame and Joane Freeman, on 16 January 1646/47 at St. Batholomew's-the-Less Church, London, EnglandG.3 He died on 14 January 1685/86.1 He was buried at Kelvedon, Essex, EnglandG.3 His will (dated 15 October 1682, with a codicil) was proven (by probate) on 11 February 1685/86.3
     He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn on 29 January 1631/32.1 He was appointed Knight on 6 July 1641.1 He was created 1st Baronet Abdy, of Felix Hall [in Kelvedon], co. Essex [England] on 14 July 1641.1

     Anthony Abdy was baptised on 18 October 1579.2 He married Abigail Campbell, daughter of Sir Thomas Cambell, on 14 August 1610 at St. Mary, Aldermary.3 He died on 10 September 1640 at age 60.1
     He was a director of the Honourable East India Company Service in 1617.2 He held the office of Alderman of London.1 He held the office of Sheriff of London from 1630 to 1631.1 He was Deputy Governor of the Honourable East India Company Service in 1639.2 He lived at St. Dionis Backchurch, Fenchurch Street, London, EnglandG.2
