     Jessie Anderson was the daughter of James Anderson.2 She married Herbert Mackworth, son of Sir Digby Mackworth, 3rd Bt. and Jane Deere, on 2 June 1821.1 She died on 5 August 1869.1

     Herbert Francis Mackworth was born on 27 September 1823.1 He was the son of Herbert Mackworth and Jessie Anderson.2 He married Julia Henrietta Mackworth, daughter of Sir Digby Mackworth, 4th Bt. and Sophia Noel Mann, on 6 October 1853.1 He died on 13 July 1858 at age 34.1

     Air Vice-Marshal Philip Herbert Mackworth was born on 22 October 1897.1 He was the son of Audley Mackworth and Mary Mason.2 He married Winifred Kathleen June Moss, daughter of William Moss, on 4 October 1921.1 He died on 30 August 1958 at age 60.1
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, England.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1916 in the Royal Naval Air Service.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1919 in the Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1942.1 He was Commandant of the Empire Central Navigation School between 1944 and 1945.1 He was Commandant of the SASO HQ Coastal Command between 1945 and 1947.1 He was Commandant of the AOA HQ Transport Command between 1947 and 1950.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1949.1 He retired from the military in 1950, with the rank of Air Vice Marshal.1
