     John Vavasseur Fisher, 3rd Baron Fisher was born on 24 July 1921.1 He was the son of Cecil Vavasseur Fisher, 2nd Baron Fisher and Jane Morgan.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Ann Penelope Holt, daughter of Major Herbert Paton Holt and Aileen Elizabeth Cains, on 25 July 1949.1 He and Elizabeth Ann Penelope Holt were divorced in 1969.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Rosamund Ann Clifford, daughter of Lewis Joseph Hugh Clifford, 12th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Amy Webster, in 1970.2 He died on 31 October 2012 at age 91.3
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.) in 1944.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Fisher, of Kilverstone, Theford, co.      Elizabeth Ann Penelope Holt is the daughter of Major Herbert Paton Holt and Aileen Elizabeth Cains.2,3 She married John Vavasseur Fisher, 3rd Baron Fisher, son of Cecil Vavasseur Fisher, 2nd Baron Fisher and Jane Morgan, on 25 July 1949.1 She and John Vavasseur Fisher, 3rd Baron Fisher were divorced in 1969.1
     Her married name became Fisher. After her marriage, Elizabeth Ann Penelope Holt was styled as Baroness Fisher on 11 May 1955.

     Major Herbert Paton Holt was born on 10 December 1890 at Montreal, Quebec, CanadaG.2 He was the son of Sir Herbert Samuel Holt.2 He married, firstly, Aileen Elizabeth Cains, daughter of G. L. Cains.2 He married, secondly, Opal Eree M'Ilhenny McCaulay, daughter of C. A. McCaulay, in 1946.2 He died on 1 June 1971 at age 80.2
     He lived at Nassau, BahamasG. He wrote the book History of 3rd (Prince of Wales) Dragoon Guards, 1914-1918.2 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was wounded.2 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)2 He retired from the military in 1920, with the rank of Captain.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for West Ham, Upton Division between 1924 and 1929.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Wiltshire between 1935 and 1936.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Pioneer Corps.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1940.2
