     Grace Purves was born circa 1783 at Purves Hall, Eccles, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Purves, 5th Bt. and Mary Home.¹ She married Admiral Sir David Milne, son of David Milne and Susan Vernor, in 1804.² She died on 4 October 1814.¹
     From 1804, her married name became Milne.²

     Margaret Purves was born circa 1784 at Purves Hall, Eccles, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Purves, 5th Bt. and Mary Home.¹ She married Archibald Cochrane.²

     Magdalen Edmonston was born on 5 February 1763 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of James Edmonston.¹ She married Sir Alexander Purves, 5th Bt., son of Sir William Purves, 4th Bt. and Lady Anne Hume-Campbell, between 5 November 1785 and 9 November 1785 at St. Cuthbert's, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ She died on 22 August 1788 at age 25.¹
     From between 5 November 1785 and 9 November 1785, her married name became Purves.¹

     Isabella Hunter was the daughter of James Hunter.¹ She married Sir Alexander Purves, 5th Bt., son of Sir William Purves, 4th Bt. and Lady Anne Hume-Campbell, on 19 January 1789 at Eccles, Berwickshire, Scotland.¹ She died before January 1848.¹
