One of Donald Trump’s most loyal acolytes in the House of Representatives has promised to move ahead with an attempt to oust the Speaker over a litany of grievances including the multibillion-dollar military aid package to Ukraine.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, who represents a district in Georgia and has in the past espoused a variety of conspiracy theories, said that Mike Johnson had proved he was not capable of doing the job. He became Speaker in October and as such is third in line to the presidency after the vice-president.

“Mike Johnson is not capable of that job,” Taylor Greene said at a press conference. “He has proven it over and over again.”
