Cologne district

In general, I would like to ask what makes sence in the labels. "City district" (in NL, EN) is not correct, in DE I found that Cologne is the fourth city in Germany with regard to the population (which may change in future, though unlikely). Would "city in North-Rhine-Westphalia, Germany" be the most appropriate in all languages, and clear enough to recognize this peticular city? Z. (talk) 13:06, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- For me "city in..." seems ok for identifing the item. Don't understand what meant with "city district" - is that solved now? Greetings, Conny (talk) 14:54, 13 October 2013 (UTC).

Statement "instance of"
[edit]In the section "instance of", the current precise description "urban district of North Rhine-Westfalia" should be placed first and in case of data extraction to other projects be shown by default. At present, the historic descriptor "Hanseatic city" is placed first and therefore sometimes shown by default in 21th century contexts, where it is clearly misplaced. In facto, even in historical contexts, for the time when Cologne was a hanseatic city, the descriptor "free imperial city" would be more appropriate as a default setting, because it refers to the legal status of the entity itself, while "Hanseatic city" only refers to membership in an association. 2A02:3032:20A:83AF:91D6:46CE:6AA2:B91D 19:54, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
