Your revert of Apache HTTP Server

[edit]

Hi, I had to put the Alphaversion from your revert to the end of the list because if not the German Wikipedia will display the Alphaversion as "stable release". --WikiPimpi (talk) 21:34, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is likely an infobox template problem, I've not seen such behavior in other wikis. --00:58, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
Don't know. I am discussing this already in the German infobox template. I will keep an eye on that. We will see what happens when a new stable will be added. --WikiPimpi (talk) 14:07, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of SQLite3's pending beta

[edit]

Why you did this? See e.g. nlwiki. Kind regards, Klaas `Z4␟` V07:42, 14 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Because there's no such version. What you refer to is a draft, e.g. a current repository state (equivalent of trunk or master), while a version is a fixed point in time and should generally have a reference in form of release announcement, a git tag etc. --AMDmi3 (talk) 14:16, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

See tP of colleague Naked8Snake as well. The release announcement is and was linked in the reference URL of the claim... Klaas `Z4␟` V09:43, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It was a mere draft. Again, it has nothing to do with an actual release --AMDmi3 (talk) 12:00, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Drafts count in open source projects. Just a C-compiler is enough to create a working application. Since SQLite is the most deployed software thousands exist in the world. The property 'beta version' is there for a reason: to use it. Your kind of destructive behavior is not appreciated and if you go on may be reported so think twice. The source you can find hereKlaas `Z4␟` V07:40, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Drafts, which essentially all commits are, are not versions. Please feel free to engage third party to help resolve this dispute, and don't forget that adding incorrect information is destructive behavior too. --AMDmi3 (talk) 15:24, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You destructed, I built. Better discuss at item's tP. Kind regards, Klaas `Z4␟` V08:46, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since you have yet again added, the DRAFT release, I have replied on the item talk page so the discussion is more easily accessible for other contributors. Naked8Snake (talk) 08:40, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

FreeBSD port

[edit]

Thanks! You are right, it seems the port was deleted on January 4, 2012, so I set rank to deprecated with end time to 4 January 2012. Genium. 19:18, Mar 16, 2020 (UTC+02:00)

preferred version values

[edit]

Having multiple "preferred" values will mess up automatic use and templates only show older (see how values are used in german, swedish, french and spanish wiki for example). Having old version still in use does not mean it is the one to use in new projects or new releases, just that it is still possible to use it (that does not make it preferred). Automatic use of wikidata is expanding and having these kinds on ambigious things does not make it any easier to support. Ipr1 (talk) 14:02, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

At least Russian wiki shows all preferred versions correctly, so I suspect it's the templates that should be fixed. Regardless, template problems should not affect how data and metadata is set in wikidata. Many projects have multiple preferred/current/actual versions and all of these should be marked with a corresponding rank. --AMDmi3 (talk) 21:39, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
