The existing property Bibliothèque nationale de France ID (P268) is for the general catalogue of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Q193563); there is a separate online catalogue for manuscripts and archives, with a different identifier format.

Wikidata has 311 manuscript items identified with the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Q193563) and hundreds more BnF manuscript items missing any collections data. Before we clean these up, we should create an identifier for the BnF archives and manuscripts catalogue so we can describe these items properly.

This is a huge catalogue; the scope is indicated by this contents page.
