     Captain John Bastard was born on 25 January 1787.2 He was the son of Edmund Bastard and Jane Pownall.3 He married Frances Wade in 1817 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.2 He died on 11 January 1835 at age 47 at Upper Grosvenor Street, London, England.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dartmouth in 1816.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Sharpham, Devon, EnglandG.1

     Hon. Hester Frances Smith was the daughter of Robert Smith, 1st Baron Carrington of Upton and Anne Boldero-Barnard.2 She married Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Watkin Williams-Wynn, son of Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 4th Bt. and Charlotte Grenville, on 30 September 1813.2 She died on 5 March 1854.1
     Her married name became Williams-Wynn.

     Lady Henrietta Somerset was born on 26 April 1748.2,3 She was the daughter of Charles Noel Somerset, 4th Duke of Beaufort and Elizabeth Berkeley.2 She married Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 4th Bt., son of Sir Watkin Williams-Wynn, 3rd Bt. and Frances Shakerley, on 11 April 1767.4 She died on 24 July 1770 at age 22.
     Her married name became Williams-Wynn.

     Sir Benjamin Collins Brodie, 1st Bt. was born on 9 June 1783.1 He was the son of Reverend Peter Bellinger Brodie and Sarah Collins.1 He married Anne Sellon, daughter of Baker John Sellon and Charlotte Dickinson, on 21 March 1816 at St. James' Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1,2 He died on 19 October 1862 at age 79.1
     He held the office of Serjeant-Surgeon to HM King William IV.1 He was created 1st Baronet Brodie, of Boxford, co. Suffolk [U.K.] on 30 August 1834.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Laws (D.C.L.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)1 He held the office of Serjeant-Surgeon to HM Queen Victoria.1 He held the office of President of the Royal Society.1
