Charles John Halswell Kemeys-Tynte, 9th Baron Wharton was born on 12 January 1908.1 He was the son of Charles Theodore Halswell Kemeys-Tynte, 8th Baron Wharton and Dorothy Ellis.1 He married Joanna Law-Smith, daughter of Walter Henry Law-Smith and Agnes Giles, on 1 September 1967.2 He died on 11 July 1969 at age 61, without issue.1

Dorothy Elizabeth Kemeys-Tynte, Baroness Wharton was born in 1907.2 She was the daughter of Charles Theodore Halswell Kemeys-Tynte, 8th Baron Wharton and Dorothy Ellis.2 She married, firstly, David George Arbuthnot, son of Major John Bernard Arbuthnot and Olive Blake, on 17 May 1933.1 She and David George Arbuthnot were divorced in 1946.1 She married, secondly, St. John Vintcent in 1946.2 She and St. John Vintcent were divorced in 1958.2 She died on 4 May 1974.2
From 17 May 1933, her married name became Arbuthnot. She succeeded as the 10th Baroness Wharton, of Wharton, co. Westmorland [E., 1544] in 1934, suo jure.2 From 1946, her married name became Vintcent.
