Another one of those god forsaken retro animes. Does this mean that it's a waste of time watching it, because if nobody cared about it, it's not good? Well, sometimes yes, but this title is an exception.
Animation & Sound
Pretty good for it's time, but now it's not anything special. At least, it won't annoy you. It contains some scenes which may have been quite gruesome at its time, but now, compared to animes like Hellsing or Gantz (not to mention mangas like MPD Psycho or Berserk) it's nothing special. And don't forget, Akira had not seen the light yet.
The sound's good enough, mostly composed by classic organs. Suits fine with Nayuta's atmosphere.
Story
The story's about Nayuta, a normal school girl who finds a young boy, coming from from Central Asia, with psychic powers given by an alien crown. This boy and his mother are trying to escape from these aliens chasing them, so Nayuta, after the boy's mother is abducted by the aliens, decides to keep him with her. One day she secretly takes the boy's crown while he's sleeping, who by the way refuses to take it off, in order to use it to pass her exam. Unfortunately, she discovers that she can't use it and fails in the exam. However, one of the teachers is an alien and sets her up in order to kill her. She is rescued by a co-equal student, who also happens to have psychic powers from a same crown as the young boy's. He leads Nayuta to a hideout where people, all wearing these crowns and having these kind of powers, are rebelling against these aliens. Later, after a long conversation, Nayuta finds that her family is in danger, so she goes back home only to find her house destroyed and her parents along with the young boy missing, probably dead. As she rushes in the house, she meets a silver haired man with tremendous psychic powers who claims to have caused this disaster. Who is this man...?
The story is well developed and keeps you thrilled 'till the end. I personally love telepathic stuff, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed it. Not to mention the amazing ending. So, practically everything's fine, except one thing. The story evolves TOO DAMN FAST! If it was a little longer it would have been WAY better.
Characters
It's a shame that this anime is so short in length, the characters could have been developed much better. Well, aside the 3-4 mains characters who are developed good enough, you will probably forget all the rest.
Value
Pretty good for a retro movie, but it's completely forgotten. Plus, you're not gonna see it twice.
Enjoyment
Hell Yeah, I really enjoyed it! The characters, the setting, its action! A really nice mix!
