Fye Hyrnes always kept to herself. After being disowned by her changeling clan as soon as she came of age for wanting to be her True Self, she drifted – broken and aimless – across her homeplane, the Feywyld, until a chance encounter at a small tavern in a coastal city found her spellbound by the most beautiful creature she had ever seen – a tawny satyr with a wild mane of red curls. The satyr, who only went by Cilla, captivated Fye, and after a nervous misstep by the changeling, the pair went on their first five dates within two days of meeting, becoming inseparable by the end of the fifth date.
Almost two decades later, the pair – now happily married, with Cilla taking on the Hyrnes last name – make their home in a coastal Feywyld cottage along a river that decides when it does or doesn't want to flow by their house. Life is perfect, love is abundant, and a light shines brightly within these two lovebirds, whose spark has not left since that first moment in the tavern.
Until a strange visitor graces their porch, and a series of events unfold that set Fye on the hunt for her lost love, her spark, her light in the dark, leading up to the start of the Buddywugs Campaign.
