This fic was born out of the fact that I somehow became the first person everyone thought of when sex on a desk was mentioned. And by somehow, I mean I made my love for this plot device very well known. (I’m also a fan of counters…) Anyways, this is going to be a bunch of one-shots. Likely the only thing they’ll have in common is a desk will be featured.

Nick and Charlie did not grow up in the same town or even the same country. They grew up worlds apart, but they had two things in common. They were both Mormon and queer. They meet on their Mormon missions in the late 1990's Northern England. This story explores their lives over several decades as they navigate their faith and queer identities. Jumping between time periods, the story lines are gradually revealed as Nick and Charlie continue to learn about themselves and those around them.

“I’m most places.”
I turned around so fast that I almost gave myself whiplash.
“Oh, Jesus Christ, you scared me,” I said, pressing a hand to my rapidly beating heart.
“Char? You can just call me Nick. I may be a lot, but calling me Jesus Christ seems a bit much. Perhaps you could call me Father, but that comes with the price of having to call me Daddy after hours,” he said with a smoothness that almost made me lose my balance.
“I'm definitely not going to be calling you 'Daddy' in any lifetime,” I managed to say between giggles.
