Examining the $φ^{4n}$ and $φ^{8n}$ models within a two-dimensional framework in flat spacetime and embracing a theory with unconventional kinetic terms, one investigates the emergence of compactified double kinks/antikinks. We restrict our study to field configurations with minimal energy profiles, i.e., fields with Bogomolnyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) properties. To accomplish our goal, we adopt non-polynomial functions as generalizing terms, namely, hyperbolic sine and cosine functions. These functions manifest potential minima at $φ=0$ in the BPS bound, facilitating the emergence of double-kinks (and double-antikinks). Moreover, as these functions are modified, the double kinks/antikinks may acquire profiles similar to configurations of fields resembling double compactons/anti-compactons.

We study the existence of BPS configurations in a restricted baby Skyrme-Maxwell enlarged via the inclusion of a nontrivial magnetic permeability. In order to attain such a goal, we use the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield prescription, which allows us to obtain the lower bound for the energy and the BPS equations whose [electrically neutral] solutions saturate that bound. During the energy minimization procedure, we find a differential constraint which involves the self-dual potential, the superpotential itself and also the magnetic permeability. In order to solve the BPS system, we focus our attention on those solutions with rotational symmetry. For that, we fix the magnetic permeability and select two BPS potentials which exhibit a similar behavior near to the vacuum. We depict the resulting profiles and proceed to an analytical description of the properties of the BPS magnetic field. Furthermore, we consider some essential aspects of our model, such as the conditions for the overall existence of the BPS solutions, and how the permeability affects the magnetic flux. Finally, we present a family of exact BPS solutions.

We study a generalized $φ^4$ model that gives rise to BPS kink/antikink configurations with compacton-like profiles. One observes that the positive parameter controlling the generalizing function promotes an infinity degenerescence of the BPS solutions. We then use the Differential Configurational Complexity technique to distinguish the degenerate configurations, which allows us to obtain the parameter values providing the most likely field profiles. Besides, the analysis of the excitation spectrum of the model shows the existence of translational and vibrational modes. Thus, the emergence of bound states of solitons (bions) and resonance phenomena is guaranteed when analyzing the scattering of kink/antikink structures. In this way, one notes that depending on the initial velocity, the collision can be inelastic or quasi-elastic, even in the case of compacton-like configurations.

In such a context, we look for vortices in two chiral media: the first one engenders localized vortices with an exponential decay similar to that of the Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen solutions, whereas the second medium generates delocalized profiles whose tail follows a power-law decay. Once we have solved the BPS systems, we comment on the effects induced by the presence of the chiral medium on the Maxwell-Higgs vortices.

This work examines the thermodynamics and hydrodynamics behaviors of a five-dimensional black hole under the influence of an external magnetic field. The solution is the gravity dual to the Anti-de Sitter/Boundary Conformal Field Theory correspondence, enabling the study of properties within an anisotropic fluid framework. Utilizing holographic renormalization, we compute the free energy and the holographic stress tensor residing on the boundary denoted as $Q$. Within the fluid/gravity correspondence framework, we have a class of boundary extensions in $Q$, where the stress-energy tensor describes a magnetizing conformal fluid. We discuss the characteristics of this special solution as well as its thermodynamic properties, including the bulk and shear viscosity, the square of the speed of sound, as well as the anisotropic effects induced by the magnetic field in the magnetized conformal plasma.

In such a context, we focus our attention on those time-independent gauged skyrmions with radial symmetry and no electric charge. We solve the effective self-dual equations numerically for different choices of the magnetic permeability, from which we obtain BPS magnetic fields whose internal structures form concentric rings. We also explain analytically the formation of these structures based on the values of a single real parameter which characterizes the respective magnetic permeabilities.

We investigate the existence of vortex configurations in two gauged-$CP(2)$ models extended via the inclusion of magnetic impurities. In particular, we consider both the Maxwell-$CP(2)$ and the Chern-Simons-$CP(2)$ enlarged scenarios, separately. We choose a $CP(2)$-field configuration with a null topological charge not only in the simplest (free) case, but also when coupled to an Abelian gauge field. The implementation of the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) formalism shows that the effective models for such a configuration possess a self-dual structure which looks like those inherent to the gauged sigma models. Therefore, when the $CP(2)$ field is coupled to the Maxwell term, the corresponding total energy possesses both a well-defined Bogomol'nyi bound and a quantized magnetic flux. Further, when the $CP(2)$ scenario is gauged with the Chern-Simons action, the total electric charge is verified to be proportional to the quantized magnetic flux. In addition, the analysis verifies that the magnetic impurity contributes to the BPS potentials and appears in both the models' BPS equations. Next, we introduce a Gaussian type impurity and solve the self-dual equations via a finite-difference scheme. The resulting solutions present a nonmonotonic behavior that flips both the magnetic and electric fields. Finally, we discuss the topologically trivial solutions in the limit for which the impurity becomes a Dirac $δ$-function.

The Maxwell equations and the constitutive relations describe the classical propagation of electromagnetic waves in continuous matter. Here, we investigate the effects stemming from extended constitutive relations on the propagation of waves in bi-isotropic and bi-anisotropic media using a classical general approach based on the evaluation of dispersion relations and refractive indices. For the bi-anisotropic media, we specify two classes of magnetoelectric parameters represented by symmetric and antisymmetric tensors. The three cases examined have provided real and distinct refractive indices for two propagating modes, which implies birefringence. The propagating modes were also carried out in all cases. The anisotropy or birefringence effect, given by the rotatory power or phase difference, was evaluated in terms of the magnetoelectric parameters of the theory in each case. The propagation orthogonal to the vectors used to parametrize the symmetric and antisymmetric magnetoelectric tensors is described by distinct modes, representing a route to identify the kind of bi-anisotropic medium examined. The group velocity and Poynting vector were also evaluated for all the cases examined to discuss the energy propagation in these anisotropic media.

We show the existence of self-dual (topological) solitons in a gauged version of the baby Skyrme model in which the Born-Infeld term governs the gauge field dynamics. The successful implementation of the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield formalism provides a lower bound for the energy and the respective self-dual equations whose solutions are the solitons saturating such a limit. The energy lower bound (Bogomol'nyi bound) is proportional to the topological charge of the Skyrme field and therefore quantized. In contrast, the total magnetic flux is a nonquantized quantity. Furthermore, the model supports three types of self-dual solitons profiles: the first describes compacton solitons, the second follows a Gaussian decay law, and the third portrays a power-law decay. Finally, we perform numerical solutions of the self-dual equations and depicted the soliton profiles for different values of the parameters controlling the nonlinearity of the model.

In this sense, in order to solve the corresponding first-order differential equations, we introduce some particular scenarios which are driven by the source field whose presence, we expect, must change the way the resulting vortices behave. After solving the effective first-order system through a finite-difference algorithm, we comment about the main new effects induced by the presence of the source field in the shape of the final configurations.

We obtain an exact Kerr-like black hole solution by solving the corresponding gravitational field equations in Einstein-bumblebee gravity model where Lorentz symmetry is spontaneously broken once a vector field acquires a vacuum expectation value. Results are presented for the purely radial Lorentz symmetry breaking. In order to study the effects of this breaking, we consider the black hole shadow and find that the radial of the unstable spherical orbit on the equatorial plane $r_c$ decreases with the Lorentz breaking constant $\ell>0$, and increases with $\ell<0$. These shifts are similar to those of Einstein-aether black hole. The effect of the LV parameter on the black hole shadow is that it accelerates the appearance of shadow distortion, and could be detected by the new generation of gravitational antennas.

For such a purpose, we have developed a detailed implementation of the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield formalism providing the self-dual equations whose solutions saturate the energy lower bound. Such a bound related to the topological charge of the Skyrme field becomes quantized whereas both the total magnetic flux and the total electrical charge are not. We have found two types of self-dual Skyrme field profiles: the first is described by a solution which decays following an exponential-law ($e^{-αr^2}$, $α>0$); the second is portrayed by a solution having a power-law decay ($r^{-β}$, $β>0$). On other hand, in both cases the asymptotic behavior of the gauge field is similar to the one presented in the context of the Abelian Higgs models describing Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen charged vortices. Other interesting feature we highlight is the localized magnetic flux inversion, a property does not observed in others gauged baby Skyrme models already studied in literature. Numerical results are presented for rotationally symmetrical field configurations by remarking some of its essential features.

We have shown the existence of self-dual solitons in a type of generalized Chern-Simons baby Skyrme model where the generalized function (depending only in the Skyrme field) is coupled to the sigma-model term. The consistent implementation of the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) formalism requires the generalizing function becomes the superpotential defining properly the self-dual potential. Thus, we have obtained a topological energy lower-bound (Bogomol'nyi bound) and the self-dual equations satisfied by the fields saturating such a bound. The Bogomol'nyi bound being proportional to the topological charge of the Skyrme field is quantized whereas the total magnetic flux is not. Such as expected in a Chern-Simons model the total magnetic flux and the total electrical charge are proportional to each other. Thus, by considering the superpotential a well-behaved function in the whole target space we have shown the existence of three types of self-dual solutions: compacton solitons, soliton solutions whose tail decays following an exponential-law $e^{-αr^{2}}$ ($α>0$), and solitons having a power-law decay $r^{-β}$ ($β>0$). The profiles of the two last solitons can exhibit a compactonlike behavior. The self-dual equations have been solved numerically and we have depicted the soliton profiles, commenting on the main characteristics exhibited by them.

In this paper, we investigate an electrodynamics in which the physical modes are coupled to a Lorentz-violating (LV) background by means of a higher-derivative term. We analyze the modes associated with the dispersion relations (DRs) obtained from the poles of the propagator. More specifically, we study Maxwell's electrodynamics modified by a LV operator of mass dimension 6. The modification has the form ${D_{βα}}\partial_σF^{σβ}\partial_λ F^{λα}$, i.e., it possesses two additional derivatives coupled to a \textit{CPT}-even tensor $D_{βα}$ that plays the role of the fixed background. We first evaluate the propagator and obtain the dispersion relations of the theory. By doing so, we analyze some configurations of the fixed background and search for sectors where the energy is well-defined and causality is assured. A brief analysis of unitarity is included for particular configurations. Afterwards, we perform the same kind of analysis for a more general dimension-6 model. We conclude that the modes of both Lagrange densities are possibly plagued by physical problems, including causality and unitarity violation, and that signal propagation may become physically meaningful only in the high-momentum regime.

Next, by supposing the existence of an additional intrinsic LV EDM generated by other LV sources, we assess the corrections to the Schiff moment when the interaction nucleus-electrons runs mediated by a Coulomb potential modified by both the $P$-odd and $P$-even LV components. We then use known estimates and EDM measurements to discuss upper bounds on the new Schiff moment components and the possibility of an intrisic nuclear EDM component ascribed to LV effects.

We consider nontopological first-order solitons arising from a gauged $CP(2)$ model in the presence of the Maxwell term multiplied by a nontrivial dielectric function. We implement the corresponding first-order scenario by proceeding the minimization of the total energy, this way introducing the corresponding energy lower-bound, such a construction being only possible due to a differential constraint including the dielectric function itself and the self-interacting potential defining the model. We saturate the aforementioned bound by focusing our attention on those solutions fulfilling a particular set of two coupled first-order differential equations. In the sequel, in order to solve these equations, we choose the dielectric function explicitly, also calculating the corresponding self-interacting potential. We impose appropriate boundary conditions supporting nontopological solitons, from which we verify that the energy of final structures is proportional to the magnetic flux they engender, both quantities being not quantized, as expected. We depict the new numerical solutions, whilst commenting on the main properties they present.

We have studied the existence of self-dual effective compact and true compacton configurations in Abelian Higgs models with generalized dynamics. We have named of an effective compact solution the one whose profile behavior is very similar to the one of a compacton structure but still preserves a tail in its asymptotic decay. In particular we have investigate the electrically neutral configurations of the Maxwell-Higgs and Born-Infeld-Higgs models and the electrically charged ones of the Chern-Simons-Higgs and Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs models. The generalization of the kinetic terms is performed by means of dielectric functions in gauge and Higgs sectors. The implementation of the BPS formalism without the need to use a specific \textit{Ansatz} has leaded us to the explicit determination of the dielectric function associated to the Higgs sector to be proportional to $λ|φ|^{2λ-2}$, $λ>1$. Consequently, the followed procedure allows us to determine explicitly new families of self-dual potentials for every model. We have also observed that for sufficiently large values of $λ$ every model supports effective compact vortices. The true compacton solutions arising for $λ= \infty $ are analytical. Therefore, this new self-dual structures enhance the space of BPS solutions of the Abelian Higgs models and they probably will imply in interesting applications in physics and mathematics.

We have studied the contributions of Lorentz-violating CPT-odd and CPT-even nonminimal couplings to the energy spectrum of the mesonic hydrogen and the higher-order radiative corrections to the effective action of the photon sector of a Lorentz-violating version of the scalar electrodynamics. By considering the complex scalar field describes charged mesons (pion or kaon), the non-relativistic limit of the model allows to attain upper-bounds by analyzing its contribution to the mesonic hydrogen energy. By using the experimental data for the $1S$ strong correction shift and the pure QED transitions $4P \rightarrow 3P$, the best upper-bound for the CPT-odd coupling is $<10^{-12}\text{eV}^{-1}$ and for the CPT-even one is $<10^{-16}\text{eV}^{-2}$. Besides, the CPT-odd radiative correction to the photon action is a dimension-5 operator which looks like a higher-order Carroll-Field-Jackiw term. The CPT-even radiative contribution to the photon effective action is a dimension-6 operator which would be a higher-order derivative version of the minimal CPT-even term of the standard model extension.

In this sense, we develop a consistent first-order framework verifying the existence of a well-defined lower bound for the corresponding energy. We saturate such a lower bound by focusing on those solutions satisfying a particular set of coupled first-order differential equations. We solve these equations numerically using appropriate boundary conditions giving rise to regular structures possessing finite-energy. We also comment the main features these configurations exhibit. Moreover, we highlight that, despite the different solutions we consider for an auxiliary function $β\left( r\right) $ labeling the model (therefore splitting our investigation in two a priori distinct branches), all resulting scenarios engender the very same phenomenology, being physically equivalent.

We have performed a complete study of self-dual configurations in a $CPT$-odd and Lorentz-violating gauged $O(3)$ nonlinear sigma model. We have consistently implemented the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) formalism and obtained the correspondent differential first-order equations describing electrically charged self-dual configurations. The total energy and magnetic flux of the vortices, besides being proportional to the winding number, also depend explicitly on the Lorentz-violating coefficients belonging to the sigma sector. The total electrical charge is proportional to the magnetic flux such as it occurs in Chern-Simons models. The Lorentz violation in the sigma sector allows one to interpolate between Lorentz-violating versions of some sigma models: the gauged $O(3)$ sigma model and the Maxwell-Chern-Simons $O(3)$ sigma model. The Lorentz violation enhances the amplitude of the magnetic field and BPS energy density near the origin, augmenting the deviation in relation to the solutions deprived of Lorentz violation.

The Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield formalism has been implemented, revealing that the scalar self-interaction implying self-dual equations contains a derivative coupling. The CPT-odd self-dual equations describe electrically neutral configurations with finite total energy proportional to the total magnetic flux, which differ from the charged solutions of other CPT-odd and LV models previously studied. In particular, we have investigated the axially symmetrical self-dual vortex solutions altered by the LV parameter. For large distances, the profiles possess general behavior similar to the vortices of Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen. However, within the vortex core, the profiles of the magnetic field and energy can differ substantially from ones of the Maxwell-Higgs model depending if the LV parameter is negative or positive.

We have shown the existence of self-dual solutions in new Maxwell-Higgs scenarios where the gauge field possesses a $k$-generalized dynamic, i.e., the kinetic term of gauge field is a highly nonlinear function of $F_{μν}F^{μν}$. We have implemented our proposal by means of a $k$-generalized model displaying the spontaneous symmetry breaking phenomenon. We implement consistently the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield formalism providing highly nonlinear self-dual equations whose solutions are electrically neutral possessing total energy proportional to the magnetic flux. Among the infinite set of possible configurations, we have found families of $k$-generalized models whose self-dual equations have a form mathematically similar to the ones arising in the Maxwell-Higgs or Chern-Simons-Higgs models. Furthermore, we have verified that our proposal also supports infinite twinlike models with $|φ|^4$-potential or $|φ|^6$-potential. With the aim to show explicitly that the BPS equations are able to provide well-behaved configurations, we have considered a test model in order to study axially symmetric vortices. By depending of the self-dual potential, we have shown that the $k$-generalized model is able to produce solutions that for long distances have a exponential decay (as Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen vortices) or have a power-law decay (characterizing delocalized vortices). In all cases, we observe that the generalization modifies the vortex core size, the magnetic field amplitude and the bosonic masses but the total energy remains proportional to the quantized magnetic flux.

As happens in the usual gauged $σ$ model, purely magnetic self-dual configurations are allowed, maintaining some qualitative features of the standard ones. In a more involved configuration, Lorentz violation provides new self-dual magnetic solutions carrying an electric field but a null total electric charge. In both cases, the total energy of the self-dual configurations turns out to be proportional to the topological charge of the model and to the LV parameters introduced in the $% σ$ sector. It is shown that the LV terms yield magnetic flux reversion as well.

A consistent BPS formalism to study the existence of topological axially symmetric vortices in generalized versions of the Born-Infeld-Higgs electrodynamics is implemented. Such a generalization modifies the field dynamics via introduction of three non-negative functions depending only in the Higgs field, namely, $G(|φ|)$, $w(|φ|) $ and $V(|φ|)$. A set of first-order differential equations is attained when these functions satisfy a constraint related to the Ampere law. Such a constraint allows to minimize the system energy in such way that it becomes proportional to the magnetic flux. Our results provides an enhancement of topological vortex solutions in Born-Infeld-Higgs electrodynamics. Finally, we analyze a set of models such that a generalized version of Maxwell-Higgs electrodynamics is recovered in a certain limit of the theory.

We have shown that a clean implementation of the Bogomolnyi procedure only can be implemented whether $ω(|φ|) \propto β|φ|^{2β-2}$ with $β\geq 1$. The self-dual or Bogomolnyi equations produce an infinity number of soliton solutions by choosing conveniently the generalizing function $ω_1(|φ|)$ which must be able to provide a finite magnetic field. Also, we have shown that by properly choosing the generalizing functions it is possible to reproduce the Bogomolnyi equations of the Abelian Maxwell-Higgs and Chern-Simons-Higgs models. We have performed a complete study of BPS vortex solutions in the Abelian sector of the standard model extension (SME). Specifically, we have coupled the SME electromagnetism with a Higgs field which is supplemented with a Lorentz-violating CPT-even term. We have verified that Lorentz violation (LV) belonging to the Higgs sector allows to interpolate between some well known models like, Maxwell-Higgs, Chern-Simons-Higgs and Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs. We can also observed that the electrical charged density distribution is nonnull in both CPT-even and CPT-odd models; however, the total electric charge in the CPT-even case is null, whereas in the CPT-odd one it is proportional to the quantized magnetic flux. The following general results can be established in relation to the LV introduced in the Higgs sector: it changes the vortex ansatz and the gauge field boundary conditions. A direct consequence is that the magnetic flux, besides being proportional to the winding number, also depends explicitly on the Lorentz-violation belonging to the Higgs sector.

We have established the Gupta-Bleuler quantization of the photon belonging to the anisotropic parity-even sector of the CPT-even and Lorentz-violating nonbirefringent electrodynamics of the standard model extension. We first present a rule for the Maxwell electrodynamics to be successfully quantized via Gupta-Bleuler technique in the Lorentz gauge. Recognizing the failure of the Gupta-Bleuler method in the Lorentz gauge, $\partial _{μ}A^{μ}=0$, for this massless LV theory, we argue that Gupta-Bleuler can be satisfactorily implemented by choosing a modified Lorentz condition, $\partial _{μ}A^{μ}+κ^{μν}\partial _{μ}A_{ν}=0$, where $κ^{μν}$ represents the Lorentz-violation in photon sector. By using a plane-wave expansion for the gauge field, whose polarization vectors are determined by solving an eigenvalue problem, and a weak Gupta-Bleuler condition, we obtain a positive-energy Hamiltonian in terms of annihilation and creation operators. The field commutation relation is written in terms of modified Pauli-Jordan functions, revealing the preservation of microcausality for sufficiently small LV parameters.

We have established a prescription for the calculation of analytical vortex solutions in the context of generalized Maxwell-Higgs models whose overall dynamics is controlled by two positive functions of the scalar field. We have also determined a natural constraint between these functions and the Higgs potential allowing the existence of axially symmetric Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) solutions possessing finite energy. Furthermore, when the generalizing functions are chosen suitably, the nonstandard BPS equations can be solved exactly. We have studied some examples, comparing them with the usual Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen (ANO) solution. The overall conclusion is that the analytical self-dual vortices are well-behaved in all relevant sectors, strongly supporting the generalized models they belong themselves. In particular, our results mimic well-known properties of the usual (numerical) configurations, as localized energy density, while contributing to the understanding of topological solitons and their description by means of analytical methods.

We have studied BPS vortices in a CPT-odd and Lorentz-violating Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs (MCSH) electrodynamics attained from the dimensional reduction of the Carroll-Field-Jackiw-Higgs model. The Lorentz-violating parameter induces a pronounced behavior at origin (for the magnetic/electric fields and energy density) which is absent in the MCSH vortices. For some combination of the Lorentz-violating coefficients there always exist a sufficiently large winding number $n_{0}$ such that for all $% |n|\geq |n_{0}|$ the magnetic field flips its signal, yielding two well defined regions with opposite magnetic flux. However, the total magnetic flux remains quantized and proportional to the winding number.

In this work, we investigate the consequences of the spontaneous breaking of Lorentz symmetry, triggered by the bumblebee vector field, on the usual Einstein-Hilbert theory. Specifically, we consider the Einstein-Hilbert action modified by the bumblebee dynamic field, and evaluate the graviton propagator using an extended basis of Barnes-Rivers tensor projectors, involving the Lorentz-violating vector. Once the propagator is carried out, we proceed with discussing the consistency of the model, writing the dispersion relations, and analyzing causality and unitarity. We verify that this model possesses two dispersion relations: one provides causal and unitary propagating modes, while the second yields a causal but nonunitary mode which spoils the physical consistency of the model.

Abstract:
A generalization of the Chern-Simons-CP(1) model is considered by introducing a nonstandard kinetic term. For a particular case, of this nonstandard kinetic term, we show that the model support self-dual Bogomolnyi equations. The BPS energy has a bound proportional to the sum of the magnetic flux and the CP(1) topological charge. The self-dual equations are solved analytically and verified numeric…

We develop a deformation method for attaining new magnetic monopole analytical solutions consistent with generalized Yang-Mills-Higgs model introduced recently. The new solutions fulfill the usual radially symmetric ansatz and the boundary conditions suitable to assure finite energy configurations. We verify our prescription by studying some particular cases involving both exactly and partially analytical initial configurations whose deformation leads to new analytic BPS monopoles. The results show consistency among the models, the deformation procedure and the profile of the new solutions.

We have considered the localization of resonant bosonic states described by a scalar field $Φ$ trapped in tube-like topological defects. The tubes are formed by radial symmetric defects in $(2,1)$ dimensions, constructed with two scalar fields $φ$ and $χ$, and embedded in the $(3,1)-$dimensional Minkowski spacetime. The general coupling between the topological defect and the scalar field $Φ$ is given by the potential $ηF(φ,χ)Φ^2$. After a convenient decomposition of the field $Φ$, we find that the amplitudes of the radial modes satisfy Schrödinger-like equations whose eigenvalues are the masses of the bosonic resonances. Specifically, we have analyzed two simple couplings: the first one is $F(φ,χ)=χ^2$ for a fourth-order potential and, the second one is a sixth-order interaction characterized by $F(φ,χ)=(φχ)^2$% . In both cases the Schrödinger-like equations are numerically solved with appropriated boundary conditions. Several resonance peaks for both models are obtained and the numerical analysis showed that the fourth-order potential generates more resonances than the sixth-order one.

Abstract:
We have analyzed Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs BPS vortices in a Lorentz-violating CPT-odd context. The Lorentz violation induces profiles with a conical behavior at the origin. For some combination of the coefficients for Lorentz violation there always exists a sufficiently large winding number for which the magnetic field flips its sign.
