Where's the "No Diving" signage because that is one shallow pool.

It's not needed- minidolls are smarter than humans.

The first of many pools.

And the first of many, many toilets.

I have no memory of this set. How bizarre.

No lifeguard on duty?!? Swim at your own risk!

Well, if you don't have a toilet near the pool, where are they supposed to change into a swimsuit?

Whenever a minidoll takes their top off, all that’s left is their legs.

It's the City Pool, so you know there's gonna be some Hot Dogs!

Summertime, and the livin's easy...

How would you even begin to make a heart shape in a pool with many objects? Water doesn't work like that.
I guess Lego water could, theoretically, but my vague understanding of fluid dynamics says it's still not possible.

Man I regret not getting more Friends sets back in the day. The hot tub elevated above the actual pool area is cute, though the set as a whole is rather simplistic. I'm a sucker for any kind of water park or pool.

We seem to have a case of cosmic bad timing. We had a BIONICLE RSotD yesterday, but just today new BIONICLE news dropped. Some more of Christian Faber's NDAs with the LEGO Group just expired, and a new batch of the Faber Files was released. Someone remind me next time we get a bonk to gush about 'em!

It's ONLY a changing room... who needs a toilet when there's a pool!

The flowers floating in the pool look like some weird romantic gesture someone put together.

@560heliport:
It’s not needed. Minidolls are physically incapable of climbing stairs with their unilegs and fused wrists.

@Randomness:
You’d probably have to tether them together, and create a disturbance in the center that pushes them away from each other.

100% regret not buying this one

I love swimming in the poo, they love swimming in the poo, who doesn't love swimming in the poo? If you have a problem with playing in the poo, something is seriously wrong with you.

My sister never liked Lego, but she got this one and quite enjoyed it.

A review and a RSotD? Good day to be Heartlake City

I'm not sure I like that big electric speaker dangling over a body of water by just a single flimsy clip.

Rumour has it that this set was to contain Carl, the lost Friend, but he... he didn't make it.

I think this was my second Friends set. I bought it to go with Olivia's house. She needed a backyard and pool area to hang out with her friends. I thought the treehouse with slide into the pool was better than just a treehouse.

By in Poland,

Thought that was a Zamor sphere at first.

That 100$ bill brings back memories though.

Another hot dog with no bun! Looks like a fun set, the umbrella would make a great escaped jellyfish waiting for unsuspecting prey. If you put the loungers in the pool then they look like inflatables which looks better then the Friends standing in a puddle.

Such a simple set compared to the pools that came after. Yet AFAIK this was the first pool in minifig scale (not counting Belville) since Paradisa. Although Friends has become better at it, all the way since the beginning you can see how it out city's City!

And yet, for some reason there's a high dive.

That's so you can aim for the basketball hoop.

Honestly, they look like they could use some carbs in their diets. They look like they’re on the verge of “rabbit starvation”.

This comment put the Baby-Ruth-in-the-pool scene from Caddyshack in my head. Thanks for that!

The first of many Friends swimming pool with the curved slide design.

41313: Heartlake Summer Pool
41430: Summer Fun Water Park
41374: Andrea's Pool Party

The most recent one 41720: Water Park still available.

Minifigs did get 40473: LEGOLAND Water Park but that was a limited exclusive.

Heh, I remember helping my niece put this together on Christmas day all those years ago. And by helping I mean putting the whole thing together since she wasn't into LEGO and grandma and grandpa didn't get the memo. The only thing I remember about it was how annoying all the flower bits were to set. So. Many. 1x1s!
