    The Standout!

Written by (TFOL , platinum-rated reviewer) in United States,

I am on a quest to review every single LEGO CMF ever made, and unfortunately, that includes the Team DFB Series: a set of 16 minifigures themed around the German football landscape as it appeared in 2016. While the majority of the characters included are footballers, the first in the series is Joachim Löw, who happened to be manager of the Germany National Team. Joachim was manager of the team from 2006 until 2021, and recently retired to be replaced by Hansi Flick. Joachim was, for obvious reasons, included in the LEGO Minifigures DFB Series in 2016. He includes 6 pieces, and was only released in Europe.

This was not a new hairpiece, but it was the first time LEGO ever released it in black! It has only been released in black one additional time, in LEGO Minifigures Series 16, which also released in 2016.

This face print is awesome, and highly useful outside the setting. There's no alternate look, but this does suffice.

Once again, the printing on the torso is highly useful outside the setting! The blue-on-blue colour scheme works very well, in my opinion, although there's no printing on the legs or the back of the torso.

Every minifigure in this series fittingly includes a soccer ball, excluding this guy! Yes, this is the only CMF of the series to not include a soccer ball, but it's more than made up for by his 2x2 tile that depicts the placement of players on the soccer field. Sadly, Brickset's primary image for Joachim doesn't show the accessory. Regardless, it's a useful print.

Overall, this is undeniably the most recognisable figure from this DFB series. Every figure, excluding 2, sports the same exact outfit with slight printing variations, so this is definitely a standout. Every piece included with this figure is definitely useful outside the setting, which is always a plus, and overall, I like it! I'll give him 3 out of 5 stars.

    Thanks for reading!
