(regarding this edit)
Help with dealing with a biased user
Hi Sactage,
User named Sikh-history have been making very biased edits on a number of wiki pages. You can see his talk page for all the examples. He is issuing warnings to my fellow contributors on Labana page and thats what I was trying to remove, when you saw my edit on a talk page. I need your help to avoid sikh-history user from editing Labana page. He does not belong to Labana community and has no business in editing it and pushing his POV.
Can you help?
Smartest stupid (talk) 21:11, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Re: Help with dealing with a biased user I'm afraid I can't help you, as I, too, agree with his edits. Sactage Talk 21:13, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Oh, how can you say you agree with his edits. Classifying a tribe as a caste and assigning it a caste category is wrong. How can you justify that. The caste section does not belong there. The only section it can have is a tribe section I added. He just went ahead of removed it based on his POV. I think you are not aware of the rivalry between his tribe (as listed sikh-history's page: Jatt) and Labanas. So his edits can not be accepted, especially about the classification.
How do you suggest this be resolved?
Smartest stupid (talk) 21:28, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Labana tribe having a nomadic origin, does not have much documented history. Instead its passed along generations. How can that be discounted?
Smartest stupid (talk) 21:40, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
And my source is my ancestors. I am not making it up. I heard from my grand and great-grandparents. Someone got to document that somewhere. And thats exactly what I am doing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smartest stupid (talk • contribs) 21:44, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
- Explain me this policy one time. Seems like you saying that in order to post some information that I have, I need to write a book and then cite my book on the wiki page. Did I get that right?
Smartest stupid (talk) 01:46, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

April 1 in mainspace
AfD'ing pages in the mainspace is not a "joke", it is vandalism. I have reverted your edit to Jimmy Wales. Fram (talk) 14:19, 1 April 2011 (UTC)
Your request for rollback
![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/df/Wikipedia_Rollback.svg/130px-Wikipedia_Rollback.svg.png)
Hi Furries. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY (TALK) 00:09, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Answer to your phenny question
Can't be done from phenny directly as far as I know, there's only "phenny: reload *" to reload the modules which won't include the config file. Adding such a function might be fairly easy though. (My email address is on my homepage, incidentally, which is linked to from my wikipedia profile and from the phenny homepage.) --sbp (talk) 20:47, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

You are invited to the National Archives ExtravaSCANza, taking place every day next week from January 4–7, Wednesday to Saturday, in College Park, Maryland (Washington, DC metro area). Come help me cap off my stint as Wikipedian in Residence at the National Archives with one last success!
This will be a casual working event in which Wikipedians are getting together to scan interesting documents at the National Archives related to a different theme each day—currently: spaceflight, women's suffrage, Chile, and battleships—for use on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons. The event is being held on multiple days, and in the evenings and weekend, so that as many locals and out-of-towners from nearby regions1 as possible can come. Please join us! Dominic·t 01:18, 30 December 2011 (UTC) 1 Wikipedians from DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Newark, New York City, and Pittsburgh have been invited. |
