Bronwyn Ele Eyre was born to a Czech mother Hvezda Lubota and to a French-Canadian father of Portuguese descent, Ramos Trautmann-Guerres. Derived from the French surname Trautmann she decided to change it to Eyre after Jane Eyre. Her father Ramos Trautmann-Guerres worked as a farmer and sailor. Her mother Hvezda worked as a travelling merchant. She had a younger sister Benjamin and a older sister Alida. The surname Trautmann takes back to explorer Philippe Trautmann who made a colony of Nouvelle France in Ontario. |
