Although Isfahan is not Iran's political capital, this city plays a transnational role in various areas. Isfahan is a destination in Iran where many international politicians visit.[1] Throughout history, Isfahan is known for its commercial position, fertile agricultural resources, and traditional status as a theological center.[2] During 2019-2020, the Municipality of Isfahan had a budget of almost six trillion tomans, an 86% increase compared to 2018. Currently, 71% of the budget is allocated for construction. It is expected that the budget will double in 2021.[3][4] Isfahan National Holy Association was involved in Persian Constitutional Revolution.
