Jianhu County (simplified Chinese: 建けん湖みずうみ县; traditional Chinese: 建けん湖みずうみ縣けん; pinyin: Jiànhú Xiàn) is under the administration of Yancheng, Jiangsu province, China. It borders the prefecture-level cities of Huai'an and Yangzhou to the west.

The main town in Jianhu is commonly just called Jianhu, and sometimes Huduo (湖みずうみ垛) or “Hutu“ (“糊のり涂“).

The county includes 15 towns:

近きん湖みずうみ = Jìn-hú

建けん阳 = Jiàn-yáng

蒋营 = Jiǎng-yíng

恒つね济 = Héng-jì

颜单 = Yán-shàn

沿河 = Yán-hé

芦あし沟 = Lú-gōu

庆丰 = Qìng-fēng

上うえ冈 = Shàng-gāng

冈东 = Gāng-dōng

草くさ堰口せきぐち = Cǎo-yàn-kǒu

冈西 = Gāng-xī

钟庄 = Zhōng-zhuāng

宝塔ほうとう = Bǎo-tǎ

高作こうさ = Gāo-zuò

There are two key senior high schools in Jianhu County. One is Jianhu Senior High School, which is located in Downtown Jianhu. The other one is Shanggang Senior High School, which is located in Downtown Shanggang.

Transportation

Recent development of transportation infrastructure in Northern Jiangsu has greatly impacted Great Yancheng area, including Jianhu. The Jianhu train station opened in July 2004, and Jianhu now offers overnight train service (on Train Z156) to Beijing.
