Chao Chuan (Chinese: 趙ちょう傳つたえ; pinyin: Zhào Chuán; Jyutping: ziu6 cyun4; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tiō Thoân; born 18 June 1961),^[1] known sometimes as "Chief" Chao, is a Taiwanese pop singer.^[2]^[3]

His breakthrough came with the song "I'm Ugly, but I'm Tender" (我わが很醜，可か是ぜ我わが很溫柔おんじゅう) which was a giant hit in mainland China in 1988.^[4]^[5]^[6] His next major hit was "I'm Just a Little Bird" (我わが是ぜ一いち隻せき小しょう小鳥ことり, 1990).^[7]
