Biography
[edit]Ye was born in Chumen Town, Yuhuan, Zhejiang, China in 1942. She has a brother, Ye Peng (
Ye published her first short stories A Couple of Things (
In 1957, Ye enrolled in the Huangyan High School (
From 1966 to 1976, during the Cultural Revolution, Ye published her short story When The Monthly Plan Was Finished (
In 1977, Ye published her short stories Danmei (
In 1986, Ye moved to Hangzhou and worked for the Zhejiang Writers Association. In 1990, she became the vice president of the Zhejiang Literature and Art Association. In 1992, she became president of the Zhejiang Writers Association and the Mao Dun Faculty of Arts.[1][2]
