[edit]Short for αυθαίρετο σπίτι or οικοδόμημα (afthaíreto spíti or oikodómima): nominalization of αυθαίρετος (afthaíretos), substantivised neuter, by ellipsis of σπίτι (spíti, “house”), or οικοδόμημα n (oikodómima, “building”), or, as an abstract sense.
