Tettigoniidae[1] sunt familia insectorum ordinis Orthopterorum.[2][3] cui familiae sunt plus quam 6400 species descriptae. Tettigoniidae sunt sola superfamiliae Tettigonioideorum familia exstans.
Plurimae tettigoniidae foliis, floribus, cortice, seminibusque vescuntur, sed multae species omnino praedatores sunt, alia insecta, cochleas, parva vertebrata (plerumque angues et lacertas) petentes.
