CCTV-5 (Chinese: 中国ちゅうごく中央ちゅうおう电视台だい体育たいいく频道), also known as the Sports Channel, part of the China Central Television family of networks, is the main sports broadcaster in the People's Republic of China. CCTV-5 began broadcasting on 1 January 1995. CCTV-5 now broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
