‘Major’ Box-office collections day 13: Advi Sesh starrer mints over Rs. 60 crores

Adivi Sesh’s Major has great content to connect with the audiences, as the film is based on the life of a war hero, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan and the film tried to portray, what is the life of a soldier before he gets martyred, The film has a lot emotionally to take back home but it is going slow and steady at the box-office may be due to it not being a commercial fiction content.
The film reportedly has less than 13.5 % occupancy compared to the other commercial films such as Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’, and Nani’s ‘Ante Sundaraniki’ in the market which both has commercial content. while the overall occupancy of the film is 11%.
The film has reportedly made around 68 lakhs on its day 13 in the Telugu version. As reported earlier, the film is about the life of an Army officer who was killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror Attacks. Adivi Sesh made his Hindi film debut with this film that also starred Saiee Manjrekar playing the female lead and Sobhita Dhulipala playing the hostage.
Prakash Raj, Revathi, Murali Sharma, Anish Kuruvilla and others have played other important roles in the film. While its dialogues were penned by Abburi Ravi (Telugu) and Akshat Ajay (Hindi). The film’s music was composed by Sricharan Pakala and it was jointly funded by Mahesh Babu, Anurag and Shart Chandra of Chai biscuit.
