maybe i should give Jack White a chance…so far, i just haven’t got what is so special about his music.

I’d love to see Jack White work with the boys to finally make the great, post-Some Girls, Stones album we’ve all been hoping for. I’d also love to see Jack tour with the Stones, but I doubt he’d be willing to take 2 years off from his own projects for the tour. But, we can always hope….

Hey man that makes sense because Jack can play great, he writes awesome songs, he is an awesome singer and a great producer who has revitalized not only Loretta lynn’s career but rock and roll in general. The stones don’t need Ron Wood and all his baggage with his substance problems and his 18 year old wife. And yes I too think Daryll Jones should be an official member of the stones. He’s earned it.

Yeah get Jack White to play guitar in the stones and make Daryll Jones an official member too. Let Jack contribute some songs to the album and with the combined efforts of Jagger/Richards/White you’ll probably end up with the best stones record ever. A true masterpiece that would finally prove once and for all that the stones are the greatest rock and roll band of all time.

Dude. Its so refreshing to see such an effortless juxtaposition of new and old. These cats are kindred spirits and will bring the best out of one another. Jack White is all that is right with rock and roll, and Keith and the rest of the boys help write the book. Stoked.

Has anyone else heard the rumours that Charlie Watts quit the rolling stones yesterday. It was all over the internet yesterday and now it’s said to be false, but one can’t help but wonder. It’s hard to imagine the stones without Watts. Do you think they could go on without him? They survived Jones, Taylor, and Wyman leaving could they survive Watts?

Well that’s an opinion really, I enjoyed many other stones albums such as Some girls, Tattoo You,Voodoo Lounge, as well as older albums like Aftermath and Between the buttons. But I agree that nothing has ever really topped the Miller albums for me. But I think Jack White is an extroidinary talent and could make an awesome stones record.

The only good Rolling Stones albums were the ones that Jimmy Miller produced, “Beggar’s Banquet”, “Let it Bleed” “Sticky Fingers” “Exile on Main St” “Goats Head Soup”

I would LOVE to see the Stones avoid another mega stadium tour and do theaters. Look at how cool Scorsese’s film was of the Stones playing the Belmont in NYC. They should play theaters, stop playing a lot of their warhorses, and dig deep into their amazing music library. Sign me up for that!

Whatever they release, I’ll buy it. Whatever the cost of a ticket, I’ll pay it. There is nothing more thrilling than the opening moments of a Stones show seeing Mick Jagger and Keith Richards on the same stage. No one come’s close.

The Stones have paid there dues. They are allowed to do whatever they want! If they came out with an album with them talking about there past id buy it. They earned the right to do that. Im not big on Jack White and I do feel hes a bit overrated but at the same time not that bad. Hes a solid B guitar player but no where in the likes of Keith as far as creavtivity and writing is concerned. Remember Keith pretty much wrote Beggers and Exile.

Had a feeling something was cookin with The Stones. I don’t have strange dreams for nuthin. Been waitin to see somethin new & exciting. Loves Keith’s outfit in that pic.

Jack White IS the right guy to produce the next Stones record. He might even be able to get them to only put out the 8 strongest songs instead of the 16+ on Bigger Bang (where half were filler..same with Bridges..good songs get lost in the “let’s put every song on this to get more royalties)

Partyed with the Keith man on Jost Van Dyke,tiny British Virgin Island several years ago.He just showed up at the tent camp schack on the beach about 11 pm, smoked drank & played music till sun-up. Came back & did the samething a couple nights later. A true gem, nice guy!

I agree with Chris. All the new rock music is horrible. After the grunge era it went down the drain. I absolutely love the White Stripes because they have that classic rock/blues influence.

I love them both, but I think they’re probably the two ugliest people in the business.

Jack White working with the Stones could be great. While I don’t care for the White Stripes (no bass player!) The Racontuers and Dead Weather both rock. Even liked JW’s theme for the Bond movie.

That could be a really interesting collaboration. Jack White has many of the same blues and country influences that the Stones did in their early days. Plus, he emphasizes live recordings using vintage equipment, and the Stones could stand to get away from the highly-produced stuff they’ve done in recent years.

Jack White is trying to deconstruct rock music back to it’s raw, unproduced blues roots. More power to him! It’s about the moment, not about the shine you can put on the music in a recording studio. Jack White’s music has feel and passion, something sadly lacking from most of today’s studio produced drones.

Gotta love Keef Richards. The man knows how to keep it real.

Jack White is not overrated. He’s saving rock ‘n’ roll while shit bands that you probably listen to like Nickelback and Creed are just putting it down the drain. White is a hell of a guitar player and a hell of songwriter also. He wrote the biggest rock song of this decade, “Seven Nation Army.”

People need to stop hating on Jack White and appreciate that Richards loves him for what he’s done for rock music.
