Whenever there's a new web site that's getting a lot of attention, you can bet that every single news show, opinion show, and morning show will be "on the case" to find out what the "kids" are "obsessed" with now. The latest is Chatroulette (we even talked about it on a recent podcast), and last night Jon Stewart surfed the site on 'The Daily Show.'

Yesterday we showed you Rick Sanchez's, um, "excitable" coverage of the Chile earthquake on Saturday. Last night, Jon Stewart talked about it too. The clip below ends perfectly, by showing footage of another classic Rick Sanchez "report," the time he got tasered by police.

Two Examples of Why Tracy Morgan is Talk Show Gold
In case you hadn't heard, Tracy Morgan is the most fertile man on the planet. It must be true, otherwise he wouldn't offer to impregnate women quite so often. Now Morgan has Jimmy Kimmel riding shotgun on his magical maternity ride in a new video for 'IMPREGN8ED,' a thumping club tune about, well, making women pregnant.
Morgan is the player hitting up the ladies at the club (a phrase that falls uneasily from my brain), and Kimmel is the Lil Wayne (or is it Lil Jon?) sidekick singing the ubiquitous Auto-Tune chorus. And, you know, adult heads on babies is comedy gold. Here's the video Kimmel introduced Wednesday night.

WGA Awards Honor 'Mad Men,' '30 Rock' and others
On Saturday night, the Writers Guild of America revealed the big winners for 2010, honoring the best in TV, movies and other media, but for our purposes, let's just stick with television. And as such, we can say the they rounded up the usual suspects. 'Mad Men' was tops in Drama Series and '30 Rock' was tops in Comedy Series. There was something new honored, Best New Series was 'Modern Family,' but seeing how the category makes new a requirement, it's not that shocking that it won.
However, in the episodic categories, for individual shows, there were was variance. The pilot of 'Modern Family' won in a tie with '30 Rock' for the episode 'Apollo, Apollo.' And the two part episode of 'House' -- 'Broken, Part 1 and Part 2' -- overcame all the 'Mad Men' nominees to take the WGA prize.

Bill O'Reilly Tones Down the Funny in Final Part of His Jon Stewart Interview
Bill O'Reilly wrapped up the final portion of his interview with Jon Stewart on last night's 'O'Reilly Factor' and if you tuned in hoping for a night of hilariousness, well...you still got it. But this time, you got it from the right person.
Jon Stewart, the host of Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show', kept his trademark charm and wit at high volume during the third and final portion of their edited interview, even though the tone and substance of their discussion got a lot more serious.
And thankfully, O'Reilly put down his red nose and took off his clown make-up for this portion of the interview. As Joel mentioned yesterday, O'Reilly is painful to watch when he tries to be funny. Screw waterboarding; the NSA should have hired him as the emcee for their interrogations.

Why Does Bill O'Reilly Keep Trying to Out-Funny Jon Stewart?
Bill O'Reilly has been on top of the cable news heap for fourteen years now, and for a good reason: whether you agree or not with his politics or his interview style, the man does a great job of putting his interview subjects on the spot and making them squirm. And, let's face it: squirmy interviews make for compelling TV.
One thing O'Reilly doesn't have is a sense of humor. At all. He's just too intense of a personality who takes himself too seriously to be funny. But, for some reason, whenever he gets in Jon Stewart's presence either on 'The Daily Show' or his own 'The O'Reilly Factor,' he spends half the interview belittling 'TDS' and its audience and trying to keep up with Stewart joke-for-joke instead of interviewing him on substance. And it never, ever works.

Jon Stewart Goes on 'The O'Reilly Factor' Tonight
It isn't the first time that these two opposing television forces of Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly have collided. Their last match-up was in 2004. However, tonight on the Fox News Channel you can see the first of two parts of the big O'Reilly/Stewart smackdown during 'The O'Reilly Factor.' Two out of three falls! For the Championship of the World!Well, maybe not any of that stuff, but it will likely be entertaining. Considering that I've watched O'Reilly on 'The Colbert Report' (Papa Bear came home) and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (it was edited for content), I can't see this particular meeting of the minds as anything major.
Of the two, Stewart seems the more savvy but it's likely that O'Reilly will be the winner of any political debate that occurs. After all, he controls the editing room.

Remember last week when Jon Stewart turned his eye on pundit mimicry against MSNBC's rather large talking head Keith Olbermann?
It seems that Mr. Olbermann saw Stewart's glasses-removing "special comment" on The Daily Show, so Olbermann dedicated the end of Monday's show to a little "special comment" of his own. Get ready to hear something you may never hear again on a cable news pundit show for a rambling, incoherent and baseless attack on a public figure on either side of the political aisle: an apology!
Someone want to turn to The Weather Channel and check on Hell's wind chill? Because it may have just dropped to -2 Celsius.

If you missed Jon Stewart's impersonation of Keith Olbermann - calling him out on the comments he made about new Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown and other politicians and pundits - here it is. It's pretty funny (and accurate). Olbermann's response? "It was a little bit of a rip-off of the Affleck thing, but overall I'd give it a B-."

On the ninth day of Festivus, TV gave to me... nine on-air breakdowns.Director Alfred Hitchcock once said, "Television has done much for psychiatry by spreading information about it, as well as contributing to the need for it."
Yes, having a camera stuck in your face for an hour or more a day must take a toll on your sanity. Your privacy is virtually limited. Your every move is scrutinized and criticized by faceless meanies. Your therapist is one session away from owning his own fishing trawler.
It's only a matter of time before the grasp of sanity is clipped away like a loose thread on a homemade snowman sweater and you turn into a blubbering, snotty, incoherent mess for all the world to enjoy. These are the personalities who lost it and may or may not have gained whatever "it" is back.
