Education

The Government of Canada funds elementary and secondary education for First Nation students ordinarily resident on-reserve, provides post-secondary education financial support for First Nation and eligible Inuit students, and provides support to Canadian post-secondary institutions for the design and delivery of university and college level courses that respond to the education needs of First Nation and Inuit students. The government believes every First Nation child should get the best start in life, and is committed to working in partnership with First Nations in supporting their goals for a quality education system that delivers improved outcomes for First Nation students on reserve.
