State and Local Energy Code Implementation Manager
Sarina Sawyer assists in managing the ACEEE-led National Energy Codes Collaborative, a major new Department of Energy-funded initiative to establish a nationwide capacity-building network that empowers states and jurisdictions to effectively and sustainably implement updated building energy codes. She joined ACEEE in 2024.
Prior to joining ACEEE, Sarina worked at the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) as the workforce training and partnerships manager where she served as project manager on workforce training, residential energy code field studies, and technical assistance programs to cultivate a thriving and skilled clean energy workforce.
Sarina earned a master’s in city and regional planning from Georgia Tech and a bachelor of arts in Spanish and environmental studies from Wellesley College.
