Academic Articles
As part of our educational initiative, the Institute has funded a number of independent research studies that represent solid scholarship and advance knowledge in the study of derivatives. Articles sponsored by the IFM are subjected to a peer review process in which recognized researchers and experts in the field, read and evaluate a paper or article and recommend whether the paper should be revised, rejected or published.
Peer review is widely accepted as an indicator of quality scholarship in a discipline or field and articles must meet the discipline's expected quality and credibility standards. Research subjected to such a rigorous review takes time and these articles are not intended for hot, news-driven topics. Articles that appear in specialized periodicals, professional trade journals or magazines are not subject to peer review.
