Zealots who defied Asbesticlese's will were struck down in a cancerous hail of thin yellowish fibres, causing them to slowly die over the course of 3 to 4 years, depending on the season in which the Great Insulation Inquisition occured. “I knew him when he was just a little conductor, you know.”
Asbestos, son of Glycolius, is the Greek god of Insulation. He blesses his worshippers with highly effective methods of warmth retention in their places of dwelling (see cottages, hovels). He punishes the heretics and non-believers with cancerous tumours. To show their devotion, his followers offer sacrifices of standard building materials. Asbestos is married to the goddess Danfossia.
