~ A Second Grade Oral Report on Asbestos

Asbestos, son of Glycolius, is the Greek god of Insulation. He blesses his worshippers with highly effective methods of warmth retention in their places of dwelling (see cottages, hovels). He punishes the heretics and non-believers with cancerous tumours. To show their devotion, his followers offer sacrifices of standard building materials. Asbestos is married to the goddess Danfossia.

The Romans knew Asbestos by the name Asbesticlese.

Long ago Asbesticlese fought Polyisocyanuratos, Roman god of fiberglass insulation solutions, during the Great Insulation Inquisition. Zealots who defied Asbesticlese's will were struck down in a cancerous hail of thin yellowish fibres, causing them to slowly die over the course of 3 to 4 years, depending on the season in which the Great Insulation Inquisition occured. The people of the land were utterly convinced of Asbesticlese's all-encompassing power.

During The 1940's there was a great wartime revival in worship of Asbestos, mothers were encouraged by the government to feed there children asbestos in fear of children suffering from a wartime asbestos dificiency.
